Red Flag Warning in multiple QCA counties

UPDATE: A Red Flag Warning was issued by the National Weather Service for Monday across the Quad Cities area. Registration open for CROP Walk 2023 in Moline

Registration is underway for an annual fundraiser that aims to end world hunger. The 52nd Annual Quad Cities CROP Hunger Walk will be held on Sunday, October 1st. Registration starts at 1 p.m. and the walk starts at 2 p.m. Both the registration and walk begin at the Caxton Building parking lot, 1701 River Drive in Moline. Walkers will start the event heading east on the sidewalk along River Drive to the base of the I-74 bridge.

A 5-year-old child who was left on a Jones County School District bus after falling asleep made her way to a nearby business and is OK now, officials said. The incident occurred just after 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 23, according to the report by Deputy Harrison Tew of the Jones County Sheriff’s Department. He was called to Eastern Fishing and Rental Tools on Moose Drive after the West Jones Elementary School student walked over there looking for someone.
